Beginner Longarm Rulers and Templates: shows you how to design and practice, drawing and quilting, with longarm rulers and templates. Our instructor is Leann McClain of La Grange, TX. Beginner Quilting Crash Course: Learn all the skills for Beginner Quilting in one day. Learn how to create a mini quilt from start to finish including piecing blocks and tops, creating a back, making a quilt sandwich, quilting, binding and custom labels. Binding and Finishing Quilts: Learn the techniques to give your quilts the finish they deserve! Learn several different methods of binding and practice some of them on a mini quilt in class. Building Blocks: An Exploration of Traditional Blocks, Layouts and Modern Twists: One evening each month for 6 months Kim Place will help you explore a traditional block, layouts for that block, and modern versions. Building Confidence With Longarm Rulers and Templates: This intermediate ruler class helps you create layered designs using multiple rulers. You’ll learn how to enhance a border using a rope tool or an oval ruler as well as instructions on the layering of designs. Previous experience with longarm rulers/templates is required. Introduction to Quilting with Kim Place: Learn all the basics you need to design, assemble, and quilt your own quilt. Kid’s Beginners Quilting: Each 9 year old and over student in this class will make his/her own lap-size quilt top. The quilt will be made from simple strips but in a very free form fashion.
